History

Escapees RV Club - Chapter #6 - Michigan Area Chartered on September 9,1984, Great Lakes Chapter #6 now averages 150 member families. Our Geographic area is the state of Michigan; however, we are proud to have members from all over the country. We are very committed to the Escapee philosophy of “Caring and Sharing”. We pride our selves on leading the way in gathering donations for the Escapee’s CARE program. Check the Upcoming Rallies in the Pages menu below.

Fall Rally - Friday

We started the morning with breakfast 7:30 to 9:00 am.

After breakfast I got a chance to take pictures of all the rigs, 37 of them.

The rigs are not parked in nice neat rows, they are clustered around power poles.

At 10:30am most of the group got a tour of Sozo coffee house.

At 1:30pm most of the group got a tour of Steele Street Brewery.

After the tour many of us enjoyed the products.

Tom & Jackie were adopted by Mark & Sherri

The Michigan Quilt that will be Auctioned off at the Tri-Rally next June.

And we finally had good enough weather for an evening campfire.

Activities

We share in hosting a joint rally with chapters 36 & 51 in June of each year. We also hold rallies in July and September somewhere in the state of Michigan and we have an informal gathering in Quartzsite Arizona each January at the beginning of the Annual Quartzsite RV Show. And a luncheon in Foley Alabama each January.

We make every effort to be represented on Chapter Row at each Escapade.

We believe that Escapee’s Chapter #6 is your extended family. We do our best to make everyone welcome and comfortable at all of our activities.

We also publish a newsletter (Shorelines) three times a year to keep our members informed of events and activities.

While you do not have to be a member of Chapter 6 to participate in any of our activities, you do have to be a member to receive our newsletter in the mail.
