Doug & I were
privileged to represent the Chapter on Chapter "Row" at the 55th
Escapade in Tucson, March 8th - 13th. This Escapade was one of the
largest in recent years with 851 rigs registered and a total of 1,952
attendees, including 720 walk-ins. 34 Chapters and 21 BOFs were represented on
the "Row" which was open 3 hours/day, Sunday thru Wednesday. Overall,
$12,000 was raised for CARE at the Escapade through donut sales, the chili cook
off and anonymous donations.
Ruth Creech, SKP #376
stopped by our Chapter #6 table to visit. Ruth was an early and long time
member of Chapter #6 and served as Vice-President from 1985-1989 and
then Treasurer from 1989-1993. Although she maintains a Michigan
address, she spends most of her time in the southwest so has been unable to
attend any Chapter #6 rallies for many years.
The Chapter has 3 great
rallies planned for this summer. We hope to see many of you at a rally!
