History

Escapees RV Club - Chapter #6 - Michigan Area Chartered on September 9,1984, Great Lakes Chapter #6 now averages 150 member families. Our Geographic area is the state of Michigan; however, we are proud to have members from all over the country. We are very committed to the Escapee philosophy of “Caring and Sharing”. We pride our selves on leading the way in gathering donations for the Escapee’s CARE program. Check the Upcoming Rallies in the Pages menu below.

2025 Rally schedule Great Lakes Chapter 6

June 17 to 20, 22025 - Shared rally with Chapter 51 hosting LaGrange County Fairgrounds, LaGrange, Indiana.

July 3 to 6, 2025, Chapter 6 hosting Calhoun County Fairgrounds, Marshall, Mi. 30 amp electric, $25.00 a day. dump station, will have to fill up potable RV water. Attractions, car show on grounds, circus on midway, Balloon Fest at airport arts crafts, food booths car show cruise down Marshall main street where they park. and a Concert Saturday night, much much more. Kalamazoo Air Zoo and Gilmore Car museum are within an hour or less drive.

Bill Daines will be arriving Sunday June 29, early arrival permitted $25.00 camp fee per day. We are next to a bath house and alone in the CG

September 8 to 12, 2025 at the Escanaba UP State Fairgrounds Escanaba, Michigan. Bill Daines will be arriving Sunday Sept 7.

Activities

We share in hosting a joint rally with chapters 36 & 51 in June of each year. We also hold rallies in July and September somewhere in the state of Michigan and we have an informal gathering in Quartzsite Arizona each January at the beginning of the Annual Quartzsite RV Show. And a luncheon in Foley Alabama each January.

We make every effort to be represented on Chapter Row at each Escapade.

We believe that Escapee’s Chapter #6 is your extended family. We do our best to make everyone welcome and comfortable at all of our activities.

We also publish a newsletter (Shorelines) three times a year to keep our members informed of events and activities.

While you do not have to be a member of Chapter 6 to participate in any of our activities, you do have to be a member to receive our newsletter in the mail.
